Big and Small

Dear Maria,

I helped the students in Ms. Krantz's class compare things.

A racecar is faster than me!      I'm slower than a car.

I am taller than the green block.     The block is shorter than me.

I'm happier than the boy. J He is sadder than me. L

The bucket is heavier than me.      I am lighter than the bucket!

The Teddy Bear is BIGGER than me!    I am smaller than the Teddy Bear.

It is fun to compare!

Dear Maria,

Thank you for sending your Flat Stanley to us! We had fun together. You can see in the pictures that she lost one of her pretty pink buttons. We looked, but could not find it. Maybe we will find it on one of our next adventures!

LAST STOP BEFORE HOME

Hi Luisa! I have missed you so much. 

It's getting warmer now so I went to the beach and wanted to show you. 

This is a giant beach ball - look how big it is and how small I am!

Isn't this sand really pretty?

We even found a fun poster of Yogi Bear - can you find me?

Pumpkin Pudding!!

Dear Maria,
Querida María,

Flat Stanley helped us make pumpkin pudding! First, we read the recipe.

Flat Stanley nos ayudo a hacer un postre de calabaza!

Primero, leímos la receta. 

Then, we opened the ingredients. We put everything in the bowl.

Después, preparamos los ingredientes.

Pusimos todos los ingredientes en el recipiente. 

We mixed and mixed it.

Lo mezclamos y mezclamos.   

It turned orange like a pumpkin!

Se puso de color naranja como la calabaza! 

We put the pudding in the refrigerator overnight.

Lo dejamos en el refrigerador toda la noche. 

The next day, we had a party! We ate the pudding with fruit and juice. It was very good!

Al siguiente día, hicimos una fiesta!

Nos comimos el postre con fruta y jugo. Estaba muy bueno!

CHRISTMAS IN NORTH FLORIDA

Adventure to Central Florida

 Hello Ms. Locke's Class!!!  I hope everyone is doing well in school as I am traveling across the state of Florida.  I have enjoyed my travels with Mr. Ryan and have learned many things!  I got to visit Mr. Ryan's class and let me tell you that he has an awesome class.  His students are deaf/ hard of hearing and they are either in Kindergarten, 1st grade or 2nd grade!  Here are some picture Mr. Ryan took of me.  He will be posting lots more picture as I get to travel different places and learn what makes Florida a wonderful state.

Hola grupo de la Profesora Locke!!!  Espero que a todos les vaya muy bien en la escuela mientras yo ando viajando por el Edo. de Florida. He disfrutado mucho mis viajes con el Prof. Ryan y he aprendido muchas cosas!  Visite al grupo del Prof. Ryan y les cuento que su clase es fabulosa. Sus alumnos de la clase de sordos o con audición limitada están en kinder, 1er o 2do grado!  Les mando fotos que me tomo el Prof. Ryan. El publicara muchas mas fotos en mientras seguimos viajando por diferentes lugares y aprendemos porque Florida es un Edo. maravilloso.

 Here I am researching about the state of Florida!  Did you know the Florida has a nickname?  Yep, it sure does.  It's know as the "Sunshine State".  Why?  Cause the sun shines almost all the time here.

En mi investigación sobre el Edo. de Florida descubrí lo siguiente!  Sabían que Florida tiene sobrenombre?  Pues si, claro que tiene.  Se conoce como "Sunshine State".  Porque?  Porque el sol brilla casi todo el año a.C.

 Here is my stop to Mr. Ryan's school.  His school is called "Rimes Early Learning and Literacy Center.  Nice teacher and cool kids to see.

Esta es mi visita a la escuela del Prof. Ryan.  Su escuela se llama "Rimes Early Learning and Literacy Center". Un profesor y un grupo muy agradables.

It's Mr Ryan's class room!  This is a fun class!  I even got to use the smartboard that is behind me.  Awesome board to use.  It is like a computer but you can touch it and move things around on it.

Este es el salón del Prof. Ryan! Es un grupo muy divertido! Hasta pude usar el pizarrón "smartboard" que esta atrás de mi. Un pizarrón increíble. Es como una computadora pero sensible al tacto y con el dedo mueve las imágenes.

 Me learning about the calendar!  Did you know that December is a cold month?  Did you know it got as cold as 28 degrees?  BRRRRRR!!!!!!!  Should have brought my coat!  :-)

Estoy aprendiendo el calendario!  Sabían que el mes de diciembre es frió en Florida? Sabían que una vez llego a 28 grados Fahrenheit?  BRRRRRR!!!!!!!  Debería de haber traído mi abrigo!  :-)

That is all I have for now!  I will be posting more pics as I get to visit the orange grove, attend a basketball game, maybe the beach and maybe see the Space Shuttle.  I hope all is well and look forward to telling you my adventure with you and your friends.

Going To The Library

Hi Luisa! I went to visit the public library!

He is a real giraffe!! He is so tall that he almost touches the ceiling. This library is really cool. 

Look what else I saw.

Es una jirafa real!! Esta tan alta que casi toca el techo. Esta biblioteca es muy interesante.

Mira lo que vi.

He's a real lion! Doesn't he look mean? (He can't hurt you though - I made sure of that.) Finally, I found the books and the lady librarian found a lot of books about me! 

Es un león de verdad! No se ve malo? (No te puede lastimar desde aquí – me asegure que así fuera.) Finalmente, encontré los libros, y la bibliotecaria encontró muchos libros que hablan de mi!
